You are affected by the sexual assault of your family member/friend. It is perfectly normal to experience emotions such as shock, anger, hatred, guilt, numbness, disbelief and confusion. It will not help going over the past and blaming yourself. It is important at this time to get some support for yourself and someone who you can talk to about the feelings you have inside you.

  • You can use our Helpline and speak with our team of professional counsellors to seek information, advice and support in the strictest confidence. The phone number is confidential and will not show up on a phone bill or phone display.
  • You can access Family Therapy that is facilitated by 2 experienced therapists to address issues affecting your family.
  • You can contact the Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVA) for impartial advice and support on how to help your family member or friend who has been a victim of sexual assault.
